I am an artist and secondary teacher based between Hobart (nipaluna), Melbourne (Naarm), and most recently Corryong (Cooyong) in remote Victoria. I went to RMIT and completed an Honours degree in photography and also had a fun time pretending to study photojournalism at the Danish School of Media and Journalism.
My interests are in photographs, videos and archival materials capacity to affect, create atmosphere and resonation. During the pandemic I’ve been stuck with my family and caught up in the ordinary-ness of things. I used photography as an outlet to bring us closer together when I moved home in 2020.
At the beginning of 2021, I packed up my life and moved to the border of Victoria and New South Wales to teach Visual Art and Design at Corryong College. I am doing this while I study a Master of Teaching (Internship) at the University of Melbourne.
I have much less time to play in photo land at the moment. I am still making photographs (while I learn to be a teacher, and set up a school darkroom!)
